Keshkal (Chhattisgarh): At a time when politicians are barely visible once the election process gets over, Keshkal MLA Santnam Netam of Berajpur constituency has changed this perception by initiating 'Ghar Chalo' campaign.

Netam, a 40-year-old leader, who was seen visiting every house of the Chindli village, said that he started this campaign to address the issues at zero ground level.

When you can’t find the sunshine, be the sunshine, says Keshkal MLA

While speaking to ETV Bharat, a villager said that this was the second time when Netam was elected for this region. The villager appreciated the MLA's Ghar Chalo campaign and said that they have not seen any leader who used to visit the house of every villager and asking for any help whether personal or financial.

"MLA Netam is very popular among the villagers as he used to address all the issues. Whenever any government officials visit our villager, he used to present at the spot and ensure the work to be completed within a given timeframe", added the villager.

When asked Netam about his campaign, he said, "Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has directed us to ensure the government-sponsored schemes to reach every citizen of the state. I have been visiting the house of every villager since I elected as an MLA for the first time. I used to listen to all the grievances of the villager. I feel happy when the villagers appreciate my work."

Chindli village, which comes under the Bastar region- a Naxal affected area, has not seen any development since the state bifurcated from Madhya Pradesh. In such a situation, leaders like Netam is really a hope of sunshine.

When you can’t find the sunshine, be the sunshine, said Netam.
