Gariyaband: A mob attacked a woman in Gariyabad district in Chhattisgarh after suspecting her of being a child kidnapper.
The incident took place at Raji village in Gariyabad when the woman was roaming around picking rags from the street.
Villagers beaten a woman in Chhattisgarh
Soon after the incident, police rescued her and admitted her to a nearby hospital. Police said she was beaten by some of the villagers because she didn't reveal her name.
Hospital authorities said the woman did not say her name because she is mentally unstable.
