Police discover tunnel dug by Naxals in Dantewada

A tunnel being dug by Naxals has been found by Dantewada. The Naxals were said to be taking advantage of the statewide lockdown to carry out their operations.

Dantewada: Taking advantage of the statewide lockdown in view of the coronavirus outbreak, Naxals in the state attempted building a tunnel for carrying out their operations.

The tunnel was only halfway built below the Katelkalyan main road, when it was found by DRJ personnel.

SP Abhishek Pallav visited the site after the incident. A case has been registered in the matter with the local police.

Further investigation in the matter is underway.
