Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has declared that the state will conduct free vaccination for all above the age of 18 years. He further added that the state government will bear the cost of corona vaccines.

Since the inception of vaccination in the state on January 16, 17 percent of the population has been vaccinated so far. In this, the number of frontline workers is around 6 lakhs and the number of people above 45 is around 44 lakhs. Now an estimated 1.20 crore people will be vaccinated in the state between 18 and 45 years.

So far, about 67 percent of people have been vaccinated in the category of over 45 years in the state. 88 percent of health care workers and 91 percent of frontline workers have also been vaccinated. After the vaccination campaign from May 1, more than 12 million people in the state will be vaccinated.
