Raipur (Chhattisgarh): Ahead of Lok Sabha elections, former chief minister of Chhattisgarh and Janta Congress Chhattisgarh president Ajit Jogi announced that JCC will not contest in upcoming elections in Chhattisgarh.
While speaking to media, Jogi said, "The main reason behind it is that our thinking is that country is going through an infectious period at this time and at any cost we need to stop all those who are spreading violence. And today if we fight elections, our votes will be distributed and that will directly give profit to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Our alliance partner Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will contest in Lok Sabha elections in Chhattisgarh."
