Jagdalpur (CG): As many as five villagers were killed and around 25 others were injured, when the pick-up van in which they were travelling overturned at Raikot under Kondenar police limits in Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh this morning.
The injured have been admitted to the district headquarters hospital.
According to sources, the accident occurred when the driver of the speeding vehicle lost control over it. In the impact, the vehicle overturned.

All villagers were belonging to Mandva village and they were going to a weekly market at Tokpal area.
While five persons died on the spot, 25 others sustained critical injuries. Reportedly, some locals rescued the victims and rushed them to the district headquarters hospital.
On being informed, police reached the spot and launched a probe into the matter. The actual cause behind the accident is yet to be ascertained, sources said.
