Chhattisgarh: Lovers commit suicide in Kasdol

Lovers commit suicide by hanging in Babool tree in Temri village of Raipur district. Police sent the dead bodies for post mortem after the primary investigation.

Baloda Bazar: Bodies of a man and woman were found hanging from a Babool tree in Chhattisgarh's Raipur district on Sunday.

The incident was reported in Temri village of Kasdol police station after locals spotted the bodies and informed the police.

The woman was identified as Indu Patel, a resident of Temri village was in love with a man from a different caste of the same village.

The Sub-divisional police officer of Kasdol, Rajesh Joshi said, "It seems from the preliminary investigation that the duo were lovers. However, the cause of death has not been confirmed yet. The bodies were sent for post mortem and investigation will proceed as per the post mortem report."

The two ran away from their home on Sunday midnight after which their dead bodies were recovered hanging from a tree next day morning.
