Chhattisgarh: Husband kills pregnant wife over alleged affair

A man in Chhattisgarh kills his pregnant wife on the suspicion of an extramarital affair. She gave birth to a baby girl before dying.

Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh): A pregnant woman was allegedly strangulated to death by her husband here on Saturday. The accused suspected that his wife was in an illicit relationship, police said.

According to reports, the couple, residents of Gaurkheda village, indulged in an ugly argument over the matter on Saturday. In a fit of rage, the husband strangulated his pregnant wife to death. However, before dying the woman gave birth to a baby girl.

After getting the information, Gorela police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Further investigation is on in the matter.
