Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday lashed out at RSS comparing it with Maoists. Baghel triggered a controversy while responding to the Governor's letter on the Kawardha case stating that like Naxals in Chhattisgarh headed by the leaders from Andhra Pradesh. Similarly, RSS in the state is being operated from Nagpur. It has no identity of its own in the state.
Baghel also took a jibe at Union Minister Prahlad Joshi's visit to Chhattisgarh. He said, "the central government had clarified that there is no power crisis across the nation, while dozens of power plants are lying closed in various states. And if there is no coal shortage then why the coal minister is visiting the state. The minister's visit to the state proves that there is a shortage of coal as well as electricity across the nation.
Union coal and mines minister Pralhad Joshi is on a two-day tour of the coal-rich states of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
