Rajnandgaon: Senior Chhattisgarh BJP leader and former minister Rajinderpal Singh Bhatia has breathed his last by allegedly committing suicide on Sunday.
According to police Rajinderpal has committed suicide by hanging himself at his Chhuria house. The reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained, police added.
Rajinderpal was alone at his house when the incident took place. Pal was living with his younger brother who brought down the body hanging from the noose after he returned home. No suicide note has been recovered so far from the spot.
Bhatiya served as a Transport Minister and Chairman of CSIDC. He contested the 2003 election on BJP ticket and became an MLA.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
