9-month pregnant nurse serves COVID ward till her maternity leave

A nine-month pregnant nurse at a hospital in Chhattisgarh kept on serving in COVID ward till she was asked to go on maternity leave. She said serving people without worrying about anything gives her immense satisfaction.

Jagdalpur: In an example of dedicated service to society, a nine-month pregnant nurse at Maharani Hospital here kept on serving coronavirus patients until she was asked to go on maternity leave by the authorities.

Anju Marko says she is inspired by her husband, who is a soldier and keeps working even in adverse conditions without getting annoyed. Despite the fact that the pregnant nurse had the option of applying for maternity leave, she kept working even during her ninth month in pregnancy.

Before being sent on leave, Marko worked in Covid ward of the hospital without worrying about anything.

She says the hospital that she joined three years ago has become a "family" for her and she enjoys working and serving people there.

Realizing that her due deliver date was nearing, the hospital authorities sent her on leave.
