Bijapur: As many as 15 Naxals including a woman carrying cash reward of Rs 1 lakh on her head surrendered before police in Chhattisgarh's insurgency-hit Bijapur district Sunday, police said.
The rebels surrendered before Bijapur SP Goverdhan Thakur and CRPF 85 battalion CO Sudhir Kumar.
Of the surrendered Naxals, three men handed over their fully loaded guns to police. The remaining cadres who turned themselves before police included a CNM president, five militia members, eight DKAMS chiefs and one RPC member.
They will be provided assistance as per the surrender and rehabilitation policy of the state government, police said.
