New Delhi: Jharkhand's Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi met Union Ministers Harsh Vardhan and Ashwini Choubey on Thurday, aiming to start three new medical colleges in the state.
Chandravanshi urged the ministers to pass on the instructions to start the medical colleges of Palamu, Dumka and Hazaribagh.
He further said that after meeting the Medical Council of India (MCI), he was in dilemma whether the curricullum in these three medical college will start in 2019 or not.
MCI authorities told Chandravanshi to move the issue to the Supreme Court and they will intiate the same after the court order.
Chandravanshi briefed the media that five new colleges were inaugurated within a span of five years and the colleges were working smoothly. He also assured that the medical colleges in Palamu, Dumka and Hazaribagh medical colleges will commence by the end of the year.
