Three people including two kids were killed after a building collapsed in Rohtas of Bihar. The injured people were shifted to Sasaram for further treatment.

Rohtas: Three people killed and seven severely injured after a two-storey building collapsed here in Badki Akodhi village of Bihar late night on Wednesday.

Two kids along with a woman died in the incident in Kharghar police station limits.

Chandharan Ram along with his family members were residing in the building.

The deceased were identified as- Chani Devi (35), Jeetu Kumar (5) and Naina Kumari(4).

Meanwhile, relative Chani Devi was staying with them to take care of Chandharan's wife, who recently had an operation.

Relative Dhananjay Kumar said: "The building developed cracks after it rained 2-3 days back. In the afternoon, we decided to start the repair work from tomorrow. But the mishap took place late at night."

The locals reportedly warned the family about the cracks developed in the building after which it collapsed within 5-6 hours.

The injured people were admitted to a nearby government hospital and later on, were shifted to Sasaram.

Chandharan Ram, Lalsa Devi, Amit Kumar, Anjani Kumari, Nitish Kumar, Ritesh Kumar and Janaradhan Verma are undergoing treatment in Sasaram.

Sadar SDM Raj Kumar Gupta reached the spot immediately after receiving the information.
