Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Bihar court orders Salman Khan, Karan Johar to appear

Actor Salman Khan along with seven other celebrities including Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aditya Chopra, and Ekta Kapoor were asked to appear before the Muzaffarpur District Court in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case on Saturday. As Salman Khan and Karan Johar are yet to submit their pleas, Muzaffarpur District Court ordered them to submit their pleas before January first week in 2021.

Muzaffarpur (Bihar): A local court in Bihar's Muzaffarpur on Saturday ordered actor Salman Khan and film producer Karan Johar to submit their pleas before January first week in 2021.

According to sources, actor Salman Khan along with seven other celebrities including Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aditya Chopra, and Ekta Kapoor were asked to appear before the Muzaffarpur District Court in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

On Wednesday, advocates on behalf of the film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ekta Kapoor, Bhushan Kumar, Sajid Nadiadwala and Dinesh Vijayan have filed their pleas in the court but Salman and Johar's advocates were absent, sources said.

Following this, the court has ordered the duo to file their pleas before the first week of January in 2021.

Notably, the court ordered the stars to appear on the basis of the complaint filed by Muzaffarpur lawyer Sudhir Ojha.

The lawyer had filed a complaint under sections 306, 504, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the celebrities holding them responsible for the actor’s death.
