Patna: Bihar Police conducted raids across different jails in Bihar today early in the morning in several districts of the state.
Officers along with police from several police stations reached Upkara and Bettiah Mandalkara in Patna at four in the morning. Barh Sub-Divisional officer Sumit Kumar and Fatuha SDPO Rajesh Kumar Manjhi conducted raids with six police stations to maintain the law and order as per the instructions of the District Magistrate in Barh and Upkara.
According to the order of the District Magistrate, surprise raids have been conducted in the prison at 4:30 in the morning. During the raids, knives, mobile phones and some narcotic substances were recovered in Upkara.
SDPO, SDM, ASP reached Mandalakara with the police force and conducted raids.
In Motihari Central Jail, raids were conducted under the leadership of Sadar SDO and SDPO early morning. Police of several police stations were present in the raid.
Even before the election, raids were conducted in the Barh prison.
During the raid, the police team of half a dozen police stations including Barh, Pandarak, Belchhi, Mokama, Athmal Gola carried out raid operations in various districts of Vaishali and Buxar.
