New Delhi: The Congress on Tuesday slammed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, saying he does not have any idea to deal with coronavirus crisis and has left the state in the hands of God.
"Nitish Kumar does not know what to do when the cases of coronavirus are increasing day by day in the state. His party Janata Dal (United) is a part of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the centre and he still can't get Bihar's due from the Union Government," Ranjeet Ranjan, Congress' national spokesperson told ETV Bharat here.
She said the Chief Minister of Bihar has been acting as a "confused man" during the on-going crisis.
"On one hand he would say that migrant workers belonging to Bihar would not be brought in and on the other that they would be brought in but they would have to pay the fare, and when Congress' offer to pay for them, he would announce that the state government would give them rupees five hundred each", she said.
The Congress leader also criticized the Bihar Government for not securing lives of medical professionals who have been attacked and misbehaved with quite often in various parts of the state.
"Bihar Government must come up with more quarantine centres," she said, adding that it should also ask for more PPE, masks, and testing kits for the state from the centre.
Over five hundred people are infected with coronavirus in 32 districts of the state.
