Gopalganj: The assembly candidate of Samaj Party who is contesting from the Hathua Assembly constituency of Gopalganj district in Bihar may look a bit uncanny to an outsider. The candidate named Abhinandan Pathak alias Nandan is a doppelganger of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has filed his nomination papers.
When asked about his resemblance to the Prime Minister, he said, "This is just a coincidence. Modi reached power, but he did not fulfil any promises. Now let's see what happens next. I have come into politics to fight for the poor."
Pathak is originally from Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. He currently lives in Savanaha village of Phulwaria block of Gopalganj, Bihar.
Election from the Hathua assembly constituency will be held on November 3. It remains to be seen whether Abhinandan will win the popular mandate from Hathua.
