New Delhi: Recommending further extension of coronavirus-induced lockdown in Bihar, RLSP national secretary general Madhaw Anand on Wednesday said restrictions imposed to curb spread of the contagious disease have helped and the state government should extend the same to contain the deadly virus.
"In view of lakhs of migrant workers returning to Bihar, there's a threat of the disease getting spread to more and more people. It can only be contained with restrictions on," Anand said, adding that the lockdown should be adhered to.

The RLSP leader said that lockdown was not maintained properly and that's why the cases of coronavirus infection are rising sharply in the state.
"The government and other stake holders must work together rising above the party lines to deal with the crisis," he added.
He said the Nitish Kumar government must also take steps to put the state's economy back on track as it deals with the unprecedented health crisis.
Over three thousand people have been infected by coronavirus in Bihar and 14 of them have died.
