New Delhi: Negating the perception of a rift between Janta Dal (United) and Bharatiya Janata Party, JD(U) secretary general & chief spokesperson KC Tyagi said that everything was fine between both the parties and JD(U) would contest Bihar's assembly election which would be held in 2020 being with NDA only.
Tyagi told ETV Bharat that the proposal of one Cabinet berth given by the NDA was unacceptable by the party, hence, they decided that the party would never be a part of the NDA-led Union Cabinet."The proposal that was given was unacceptable to the JD(U), therefore we have decided that in future also JD(U) will never be a part of the NDA-led Union Cabinet, this is our final decision. JD(U) was clear in its stand that we do not want any symbolic participation," Tyagi said.
Tyagi also reacted to the tweet posted by Union Minister Giriraj Singh in which he took a jibe at BJP allies Janata Dal-United and Lok Janshakti Party- for hosting Iftar parties and said it would be better if they organised gatherings during Navratri. Tyagi said, "Narendra Modi had gone to Abu Dhabi last year and had stayed with Sheikh Zayed in a mosque for about an hour. He also laid the foundation stone for a temple in Abu Dhabi. The temple was inaugurated by religious guru Morari Bapu with people chanting Jai Shri Ram in the background. The princess of Abu Dhabi took Ramayana on her head and entered the temple. Thousands of Hindus and Muslims present over there were enjoying the chants of Jai Shri Ram. I want to ask Giriraj Singh whether he will ask the Muslims not to chant Jai Shree Ram. I will send him a video which he must see."
