Patna: A serving IAS officer Sudhir Kumar today knocked on the door of police to lodge an FIR against chief minister Nitish Kumar and other senior officials of the Bihar government, alleging involvement in a job scam case. There was complete chaos when 1987 batch Bihar cadre IAS officer reached SC/ST police station located in Gardanibagh to lodge the FIR of alleged forgery.
Sudhir who is presently serving as additional member at board of revenue had to wait for four long hours at the police station. It all happened when the SHO of the concerned police station did not turn up after taking the complaint letter from Sudhir.
“It's been four hours in the police station as I had come here at 12 noon and now it's 4 PM. Despite waiting for 4 hours, the police did not lodge my FIR. The police officials have just given me one receipt saying that they will lodge the FIR later. The matter is related to forgery, false documents and producing false evidence. I have come here to lodge the FIR from top to bottom, “Sudhir said before leaving the premises.
The bureaucrat clarified that he filing case against the Chief Minister and Manu Mahara (Saran range DIG).
Sudhir who served as the principal secretary rank IAS officer earlier has been behind bars for over three years on corruption charges in Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) job scam. Kumar was one of the prime accused in the job scam in February 2017. However, in October 2020, he was granted bail by the Supreme Court.

Sudhir added that he was falsely accused in the scam case. Leader of opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav expressed shock over the incident claiming that there was something fishy and alleged that the chief minister persuaded the police to not lodge the complaint.
“The IAS officer reached the police station with all the documents to lodge FIR against CM and others but police did not lodge the FIR. During election, FIR was lodged against me in an alleged murder case. I got the clean chit in that matter after 10 days only. If the FIR could be lodged against the leader of the opposition why not against CM? It is the procedure of the police station to accept the complaint and lodge the FIR. Why Nitish ji is so scared, he only talks about rule of law. It is a serious matter that an IAS officer has levelled charges of serious allegations. Forget the FIR, the IAS officer who was home secretary had to wait for four long hours at the police station. There is a complete dictatorship in the state," Tejashwi alleged.
