Patna: It's a fiery battle of the alliances in Bihar, where 5 of the 40 Lok Sabha seats are going to polls in the third phase on Tuesday.

Tejashwi Yadav led Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress alliance and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (United) alliance will be fighting against each other in Madhepura, Supaul, Jhanjharpur, Khagaria and Araria in the flood-prone Seemanchal.

While everyone wants to know who will overpower whom, the election battle this time in Bihar is going to be bilateral and face to face.

In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, RJD leader and former deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav said that he is very confident about the victory of his coalition government.

Presenting his views about the same, Tejashwi said, "This time, people are completely in our favour. The victory of our alliance is sure. NDA government is not going to survive now."

Terming the elections in Bihar as a choice between truth and falsehood, Tejashwi said that this is the time to save the constitution, to save the reservation system. He said that there is a double engine government in the centre as well as in the state.

The former deputy CM also alleged that there is no talk of serious issues in the present government.

"Be it education, farmers, unemployment, none of the issues have been addressed. No one is talking about these issues," he said.

On asking whether he misses his father and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, the RJD leader said that people are well aware that BJP led by Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar have conspired against his father.

"My father is mentally tortured. A son is not being allowed to meet his father. How low can these people stoop?" he said.

Earlier, Bihar deputy CM, Sushil Kumar Modi had alleged that the family members of Lalu Yadav who bring his food to the hospital should be restricted as it may contain poison, to which Tejashwi replied, "Sushil Modi has got a lot of experience in this regard. He may have poisoned many people like this. This is why he has dropped down to such a level to say things like that."

Commenting on Shatrughan Sinha, who will fight the upcoming polls from Bihar's Patna Sahib constituency on a Congress ticket instead of an RJD ticket, Tejashwi said RJD and Congress are two sides of the same coin and there is no difference between the two.
