New Delhi: BJP MP Ram Kripal Yadav has said bringing students of Bihar back to the state from Kota in Rajasthan during the on-going lockdown would not be good as similar demands may arise to get others from different states, completely defeating the purpose of restrictions on movement to combat coronavirus.
Speaking to ETV Bharat on phone, the BJP leader said there are other students of the state who may be studying in several other states and there could be a demand to bring them back too.
"The lockdown is coming to an end. People must exercise restrain otherwise the lockdown would become meaningless," he said.
Hundreds of students from different states of the country are stuck in Kota of Rajasthan and the governments are making arrangements for their students to return. Witnessing it, the same demand was made in Bihar also, especially when influential people from the state were getting their children back.
Nitish Kumar government, which so far resisted these demands, still maintains that it should be not be done since the lockdown was coming to an end.
