Bihar polls: NDA releases report card highlighting achievements

Ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, the JD(U) led National Democratic Alliance in Bihar released it's report card and listed out a number of development measures launched by the Modi government in Bihar. The state goes to polls in three phases, beginning on October 28.

Patna: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar on Friday released a report card of its government in the State which goes to polls in three phases, beginning on October 28.

The Union Ministers present in the press conference claimed Bihar has progressed rapidly during the rule of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. BJP's Bihar in-charge Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Health Minister Mangal Pandey, Sanjay Jha and Danish Rizwan among others were present.

The report card details the key achievements of the NDA government in Bihar.

In the joint press conference, the leaders of BJP and JD(U) said that there has been a deep and wide expansion of roads in the state.

Long bridges were constructed and every house has been provided with an electricity connection.

The work is on to ensure that every piece of land has access to irrigation facilities.

Efforts are on to empower women and youths are being skilled so that they become more employable.

The government is committed to the health of every person in the state. "Farmers are being empowered with the help of various schemes. Money is being spent on the education of children. No one from Bihar is migrating now. Everyone is getting job opportunities in Bihar itself. During floods, the government has tried its level best to ensure that help reaches every needy person," they said.

PM Modi to address 12 rallies

Addressing the press conference, Devendra Fadnavis said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come to Bihar for four days during which he will address 12 rallies including virtual rallies at 100 places.

He said that PM Modi will address a total of 1200 public meetings virtually and physically.

He said that Prime Minister Modi’s first rally will be held on October 23. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will share the stage with Prime Minister Modi in every rally.

Senior NDA leaders will also be present on the occasion, he said.

Nitish changes poll narratives

JDU general secretary and Water Resource Development Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha thanked the NDA government in Bihar for changing the poll narrative.

Bihar used to have a negative image in the larger picture of India. Earlier, no election used to be fought on the plank of development.

Targeting the main opposition party RJD, Jha said that even the RJD says these elections are being held on the issues of development.
