New Delhi: The Jan Adhikar Party's National President Rajesh Ranjan, popularly known as Pappu Yadav has come forward to help migrant workers from Bihar and also said that Bihar government is only showing false dreams to them.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Yadav said, "I would do everything possible to make arrangements for the stranded migrant labourers. I would also make sure that they don't have to spend a single rupee on travel to get back home."

"Since the lockdown took place, I am helping all the stranded Bihar workers who are trapped in Delhi. I distribute rations among the Bihar labourers every day in Delhi. I give them money and also I have provided many buses to send them to Bihar," Yadav said.

"The central government announced that eight crore migrant labourers will be given free grain for 2 months. But I want to say that they will never get any grain. These people will just keep moving from here and there to get the government's aid. Bihar government said that all the migrant labourers who are coming back to Bihar will be given employment in Bihar according to their skills. But I want to say that those the labourers who are already living in Bihar yet to be employed then how Bihar government will be able to provide more employment to them who are coming to Bihar," he said.

"The central government should announce something very special for the benefit of the labourers. So that they will not be in problem. As the Bihar government does not have the money to do all kinds of facilities for workers, so the Nitish Kumar led government will not be able to help these workers. Bihar government is only showing false dreams to them," Yadav said.

Notably, the ex-parliamentarian had held a sit-in protest in Delhi for the easy evacuation of the migrant labourers and also been helping the migrant workers by arranging food and other basic things for them as most of them don't have resources to stay alive.
