Patna: With uncontrollable rising cases of coronavirus emerging in Bihar, the people are expecting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar led-government to come forward with relief measures. Although COVID-19 has caused havoc across the nation, the situation in Bihar is extremely bad.

The depressing conditions of COVID hospitals and care facilities have raised questions against the state administration. The people cannot combat the deadly virus when the state hospital itself is in a sickening condition.

People get themselves admitted in the hospitals here by only having faith in their prayers as they are confirmed that the health workers and treatment will not be able to save them.

Dead bodies of the corona patients in Nalanda Medical College, which is Patna's largest COVID Hospital, wait for days for their cremation. This is the same hospital where unclaimed bodies are left in open amongst living COVID patients in the hospital wards.

Talking about Patna AIIMS, VVIPs of Bihar reach here for their COVID treatment. Recently, Home Department Upper Secretary Umesh Rajak lost his life fighting a battle with corona in the same hospital.

Earlier, Rajak shot a video of himself where he was seen lying on the floor of AIIMS and alleging negligence among the hospital staffers. After the video went viral, doctors started Rajak's treatment but it was already too late.

The health system of Bihar is itself ill and it is incapable of giving treatment to the people. It seems that the medical system of all the districts of the state including Bhagalpur, Katihar, Nalanda and Patna is itself on a ventilator.

The fuming anger of the people who lost their family members due to the deadly pandemic proves that the administration and state health department has failed in fulfilling its responsibilities of taking care of the people and winning their trust.
