BHU student fired bullets during land dispute in Bihar; video goes viral

Kaimur police have arrested a Banaras Hindu University student for firing bullets in her village in Bihar. The incident was captured by the villagers during a clash over a land dispute. The arrest was made after the video went viral on social media.

Kaimur (Bihar): Police here have arrested a 25-year-old girl hailing from Dandavash village after a video of firing bullets went viral in several social media platforms.

According to the reports, the video was shot on May 21 during a clash that broke out between the villagers over a land dispute.

Kaimur SP Dilnawaz Ahmed said, "A clash broke out between the two groups over a land dispute. The clash turned violent after 10-12 villagers joined the war with iron rod and sticks. Noticing the condition, the 25-year-old girl had fired the bullets in the open air. More than 12 people injured in the incident but no one was injured due to firing."

She has been studying bachelors of science from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and came to Kaimur after Prime Minister had announced a nationwide lockdown.

Meanwhile, police have seized the loaded gun from the house of the girl and interrogation is underway to ascertain the origin of the weapon.
