Guwahati: Ahead of the legislative assembly polls in Assam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the state on January 23. The Prime Minister will address a few meetings and rallies in various places in the state. This was informed by Cabinet Minister Himanta Sarma in Silchar in the presence of CM Sarbananda Sonowal and BJP's President J P Nadda.
Home Minister Amit Shah will also visit the state on January 24, where he will address two meetings in Nalbari and Kokrajhar.
Assembly election will be held in Assam from April onwards for 176 seats.

Last night, Nadda, who was on a two-day visit to the state, met senior BJP leaders of the State at Amingaon where they discussed the various aspects and strategy for the upcoming election.
