Nagaon (Assam): A man from Assam travelled about 1000 km to reach his home district, amid the ongoing nationwide lockdown in view of the rising cases of coronavirus.
Jadav Bora, a migrant labourer from Assam's Nagaon district, worked in Daman. Soon after reaching his village, he was taken to the hospital for a checkup. While his condition is said to be stable, Bora will have to be quarantined.
After the announcement of a nationwide lockdown, Bora managed to board a truck from Daman and reached Bihar on March 27th.
However, as there is no movement of any vehicle from Bihar, Bora decided to walk and reached Aahatguri in Nagaon on Monday night.
Bora said that he was helped by different people including the Army on his journey. He survived mostly on biscuits and water throughout the journey.
