Indo-Bangladesh ties to touch new heights

Bangladesh Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Dr Mohammed Hasan Mahmud, MP said that the historic ties between India and Bangladesh would touch new heights due to the strengthened bilateral relations.

Agartala: Bangladesh Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Dr Mohammed Hasan Mahmud, MP on Sunday said that the historic ties between India and Bangladesh would touch new heights due to the strengthened bilateral relations.

Dr Hasan arrived at Agartala for a brief stay only to leave for Delhi within a few hours from MBB Airport Agartala.

In the national capital, Dr Hasan is scheduled to inaugurate the Bangabandhu corner at Delhi Press Club and participate in separate meetings with Union Minister External Affairs S Jaishankar and Union Minister Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur.

“I am thankful to Delhi Press Club for the initiative. I am invited at a time when my country is celebrating the Mujib year to mark the birth centenary celebrations of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. I feel, this historic step will push the longstanding ties between both the countries to new heights," he added.

The visiting dignitary left for Delhi on a flight scheduled at 4:45 pm in the evening.
