Two arrested with valuables worth over Rs 1 crore in Kurnool

Two persons were arrested for carrying gold, diamonds, and pearls worth Rs 1.04 crore in Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool district. The seizure of valuables and arrest were made by the police team during a routine vehicle check-up at the Panchalingala check post.

Kurnool: The Andhra Pradesh police arrested two persons and seized gold, diamonds, and pearls worth Rs 1.04 crore from a private bus at the Panchalingala check post in the Kurnool district.

The seizure was made by the police team during a routine vehicle check-up where accused persons were found carrying over a kg of gold, diamonds worth Rs 61 lakhs and pearls worth Rs 27,000.

The accused have been arrested and further investigation is in progress, the police said.
