President offers prayers at Sri Vekateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala

The President of India along with his wife and other family members visits the ancient hill shrine of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala. Later, he will also visit SHAR centre at Sriharikota to witness the Chandrayaan-2 launch.

Tirumala: President Ram Nath Kovind offered prayers at the ancient hill shrine of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday morning.

The President accompanied by his wife Savita and other members of his family, arrived here on a spiritual visit on Saturday to worship at four different shrines in and around the hills here.

The pandits of the temples presented a few feet long rectangular photo frame having the images of deities of Tirumala temple.

The President who is on a three days visit to the state yesterday visited temples of Goddess Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru at Tiruchanur and Lord Kapileswara at Tirupati.

After paying a visit to Tirumala temple, President Ramnath Koving is scheduled to leave for the SHAR centre at Sriharikota situated in SPSR Nellore district on Monday to witness the Chandrayaan-2 launch.
