Ganesh idol decorated with notes worth Rs 1.6 crore

A committee in Guntur decorated Ganesh idol with notes of Re 1 to Rs 2000 worth 1.6 crores. A committee comprising of 102 members have decorated this Lakshmi Ganapati with the currency.

Guntur: On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, we can see idols of lord Ganesha in every street with different decorations. A very special lord Ganesha idol, decorated with currency notes seen in Guntur's Vasavi Kanyakaparameswari temple of Andhra Pradesh.

Notes ranging from Rs.1 to 2000 notes can be seen on the idol which are attracting the devotees.

A committee comprising of 102 members have decorated this Lakshmi-Ganapati with the Indian currency.

The committee president Tunguntla Nageswarao said, "The currency notes worth Rs.1 crore 60 lakhs which is used in the decoration."
