Children hit by Covid after attending tuition classes

The department of Education in Andhra Pradesh has issued notice to the teacher responsible for the spread of the virus and said the tuition center in Bhatlur violated rules that educational institutions should not conduct physical classes.

Guntur: Amid rapidly increasing cases of coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh, authorities on Friday revealed that due to the negligence of a tuition teacher around 14 students as well as their parents tested COVID-19 positive.

The teacher who used to run a private tuitions center in Bhatlur had corona symptoms and when it was examined, tested positive.

What's worrying is that all the students are aged under seven or eight.

The authorities have declared Bhatlur SC Colony as a containment zone and evacuated the victims to a quarantine Center.

A special center has been set up in the village to collect samples from people and awareness programs have also been initiated for the public.
