Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir): Unable to bear the cold, an army jawan from Chittoor (Andhra Pradesh) expired in Jammu and Kashmir. Manchu Reddappa Naidu (38) of Gaddakindapally of Chandragiri Mandal in Chittoor district has been serving as a soldier for 14 years.
He fell ill while he was on his duty in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. Other jawans noticed and gave him first aid.

As the situation was dire, information was passed to higher officials. Reddappa's family members were informed that he had expired while being taking to the hospital in a helicopter for better treatment. He has a wife, a daughter, and a son.
A few days ago, Reddappa got a promotion. His family members were in tears that they had to hear the bad news. The soldier's body is expected to reach the village on Tuesday said the family members.
