Woman burns 2 sons to death

A woman in Kurnool district here allegedly set ablaze her two sons, stating family issues as the reason. The children were declared dead during the course of treatment.

Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh): In a shocking incident, a mother killed her two sons by setting them afire in Yemmiganur area here on Wednesday.

Reportedly, a heated argument took place between the woman, Padmvathi and her husband Narisimhulu, as he did not go to work. The quarrel escalated and Narisimhulu started beating his wife and later left the house.

Following this, the woman closed the doors and poured petrol on her children who were sleeping and set them afire. She later tried to commit suicide, but was rescued by the neighbours.

The children Manoj Kumar (5) and Sanjeev (4) succumbed to the burns during the course of treatment.

Narisimhulu had reportedly married Padmvathi after the death of his first wife.
