GO FIRST announces free air travel for Tokyo Olympics medal-winners

Indian airline, Go FIRST has offered free air travel for country's medal-winners at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 till 2025.

Mumbai: Joining the bandwagon of celebrating and lauding India's best-ever haul of seven medals at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, Indian airline, GO FIRST, founded as GoAir, has announced free air travel offer for all medal-winners for the next five years. India bagged one gold, two silvers and four bronze medals at Olympics 2020.

Kaushik Khona, Chief Executive Officer, GO FIRST said, “The entire nation is elated at the unprecedented success of our Olympic contingent. At GO FIRST, we wish to express our gratitude for this historic feat by offering free tickets to all the medal winners. This is a great achievement for Indian sports and we congratulate every member who represented the country and made Indians everywhere proud.”

Neeraj Chopra won gold in men’s javelin throw final to win independent India’s first medal in athletics on Saturday. His gold is also India’s second-ever individual gold medal at the Olympics after Abhinav Bindra won the shooting gold at Beijing in 2008.

The seven Olympics medalists Mirabai Chanu (weight-lifting), P V Sindhu (badminton), Lovlina Borgohain (boxing), men’s hockey team, Ravi Kumar Dahiya (wrestling), Bajrang Punia (wrestling) and gold medalist Neeraj Chopra (javelin throw) will be provided free air travel for any GO FIRST sectors for the next five years.
