Hyderabad: Tennis world is rocked by the news of a large-scale fixing scandal. An investigation agency, whose name is yet to come in the public domain, claimed that it is going to expose tennis' biggest ever fixing scandal.
It is understood that a renowned German player is involved in this scandal. Once the investigation concludes his name will be revealed. The player who was first caught in this case is the winner of three ATP Tour titles.
The investigation agency has also found that not just one player but more than 135 players are involved in this fixing scandal.
According to Belgian public prosecutor, Eric Bisschop hundreds of small-scale betting units are functional in this scandal. They earn millions of Euros from each case.
Former Argentine player Marco Trungelliti claimed that he was once approached by bookies. He alleged that professional players in the top 50 in the world rankings have also fixed matches. It is an epidemic at all levels.
It is learnt that the investigation of this case will be conducted in Belgium, Spain, France and the United States.
