Mumbai: A plethora of talent went under the hammer on the first day of the auction for the seventh season of Pro Kabaddi League which will start from July this year. The some of ₹42.86 Crore rupees was spent by the twelve franchises to procure the services of 89 players across categories.
Last years sensation Siddharth Desai became the costliest player of the first day of auction while Nitin Tomar went to Puneri Paltan for 1. 20 crores.
Many players bagged bigger contract when compared to last season's auctions.

3. Ravinder Pahal - 61 Lakhs
Ravinder Pahal is arguably one of the best right-corner in the history of Pro Kabaddi League. The talismanic defender has clinched 277 points from 89 matches. Pahal clinched 3.05 times his cost price from last season which was 20 lakhs.
2. Manjeet - 65 lakh
Manjeet not Chillar, Manjeet the all-rounder who performed exceptionally for Patana last year was expected to bag big contract as every franchise was eyeing for him. He contributed on both the raiding and defensive front to collect 102 points from 22 matches last season. The 22-year old was signed by Puneri Paltan for 65 lakh 3.18 times higher than his last year contract.
1. Siddharth Desai - 1 crore 45 lakhs
Telgu Titans bagged Siddharth Desai for a whopping price of 1 crore 45 lakhs. Siddharth became the 2nd costliest player in the history of PKL after this contract. In his debut season, Desai was in unparalleled form as he scored 221 points from 21 matches and even earned the record for the fastest player to reach 50 points and 200 points in the PKL. Desai was last year signed by U Mumba for 36 lakhs.
