Pooja Chauhan talks to ETV Bharat as India bag bronze in Dragon Boat World Cup

Pooja also said that the team got heroes welcome following their return to the country.

Roorkee: Manjeet Singh-led Indian team scripted history as they bagged the first-ever bronze medal in International Canoe Federation Dragon Boat World Cup on Sunday. The tournament was held in Ningbo, China and a total of 37 teams from 29 countries were part of the event.

The hosts China settled for the silver medal while a team from Chinese Taipei took the gold medal home. Pooja Chauhan, who was a part of Team India, in an exclusive interview to ETV Bharat, said 16 girls from Punjab, Haryana and Uttara Khand took part in the tournament.

Pooja also said that the team got heroes welcome following their return to the country. Pooja also credited the team's coach panel -- Bijendra Singh, Manjeet Singh, Dileep Chauhan and Thakur Mandela for their historic victory.
