New Delhi: In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion The Great Khali revealed many secrets of WWE and even claimed that some wrestling matches are fixed.
When asked if match-fixing exists in WWE, Khali said, "Every game or sport which is being played professionally at international level is somewhere fixed and likewise match-fixing exists in WWE."
The Great Khali, whose real name is Dalip Singh Rana, also claimed that he has been approached by many fixers till now but he has never compromised his game and performed with absolute honesty throughout his life.
47-year-old Khali also criticised the Indian government for not focussing on grassroots sports development.
"The government should provide facilities to budding sportspersons at the grassroots level. I am not asking the government to give them crores of rupees but atleast budding future sportspersons should be provided with basic facilities like tracksuits, sports shoes and medals on a small level in order to encourage them and keep them motivated," Khali said.
