Hangzhou (China): The Indian men's team continued the country's supremacy in shooting so far at the ongoing Asian Games by winning a gold here on Sunday. The trio of Prithviraj Tondaiman, Kynan Chenai and Zoravar Singh Sandhu carved a sensational display to ensure a thrilling finish and trumped silver medalists Kuwait by a close margin of one point. They also registered a new Asian Games record on their way to bag the coveted gold medal.

The Indian contingent was going strong since the start of the event as they climbed to the silver medal position very soon. Zoravar was on the third spot but he lost his position by the end of the round. The contest soon turned out to be a thrilling affair as there was only a difference of one point before some last shots were fired in the shooting arena.
Kynan was spot on with all his shots in the final round which ensured the Indian team a gold even before Kuwait played their last round.
Kynan shot a total of 122 and topped the qualification while Zoravar registered a score of 120 to end up at the fourth position in the qualification event. Prithviraj finished with a score of 119 but was not able to advance to the final of the individual event.
