Cardiff: FIFA Players' Status Committee urged Cardiff City to pay Nantes $7million for late footballer Emiliano Sala.
The late Argentina footballer became Cardiff City's record signing when a deal was struck with the Ligue 1 club in January.
But his arrival in Wales never realized since the plane carrying Sala from France to the UK crashed midheaven. Sala died, along with the pilot David Ibbotson.
Meanwhile, Cardiff City said that the agreement to pay Nantes a $17million fee was not legally acceptable because conditions insisted upon by Nantes were not met.
The FIFA Players' Status Committee said on Monday the $7m Nantes should receive from Cardiff is "corresponding to the first instalment due".
"The FIFA Players' Status Committee, which never lost sight of the specific and unique circumstances of this tragic situation during its deliberations on the dispute at stake, refrained from imposing procedural costs on the parties. The findings of the decision were notified to the parties concerned today," the statement read.
