Barcelona: FC Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde was all praises for the team's talisman striker Lionel Messi after Barca defeated Borussia Dortmund 3-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Messi - who celebrated his 700th appearance for the Spanish side - was instrumental in the victory scoring one goal and setting up two more for strike partners Luis Suárez and Antoine Griezmann.
Praising Messi, Valverde said, "Leo (Messi) is an extraordinary assist provider. Besides everything else. And as for Leo's performance tonight, it was incredible. It isn't just about what he does but also when he does it. Because you have to know how to do it at the right moment. When you have the qualification at stake. These are the times when Leo makes an entrance."
Meanwhile, Barcelona has 11 points in Group F and secured the top spot with one game remaining. Dortmund has seven but is behind Inter Milan on goal difference after the Italian team won 3-1 at Slavia Prague. Prague has two points.
