Abu Dhabi: In the 20th match of IPL 2020, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma has won the toss and elected to bat first against Rajasthan Royals here at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

While MI, who defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last outing, went with an unchanged team, Rajasthan Royals, who suffered back to back defeats after two successive wins, made three changes. Robin Uthappa, Jaydev Unadkat and Riyan Parag have been replaced with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ankit Rajpoot and Karthik Tyagi, who has made his IPL debut for Royals on Tuesday.

This is the first meeting between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2020. Both teams will play their reverse match in Abu Dhabi on October 25.

MI and RR have faced each other 21 times in the IPL so far and are tied at 10 wins each. Their one of the matches in IPL 2009 was abandoned without a bail.

Steve Smith - We have three changes tonight - Jaiswal is in, Rajpoot is back in and Tyagi makes his debut. Looks a beautiful wicket, wasn't sure as to what to do at the toss - now, we are bowling first, need to do the basics well

Rohit Sharma - We will bat first. Looks a good pitch, played pretty well in our first match here. There are things we have done very well, we have been consistent so far - we have no changes in our playing XI

Pitch report: 'This is a centre wicket with equal dimensions on all sides. There is a fair amount of grass on the surface, it looks hard and it allows the ball to slide on better. It's a fresh surface, should have good carry and there will be a bit in it for the bowlers. But I still think this is a bat first wicket', said Danny Morrison.

Teams:

Rajasthan Royals (Playing XI): Jos Buttler(w), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Steven Smith(c), Sanju Samson, Mahipal Lomror, Rahul Tewatia, Tom Curran, Jofra Archer, Shreyas Gopal, Ankit Rajpoot, Kartik Tyagi

Mumbai Indians (Playing XI): Rohit Sharma(c), Quinton de Kock(w), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, James Pattinson, Rahul Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah
