Mumbai: Mumbai Indian skipper Rohit Sharma opted to bat first after winning the toss against Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad in an Indian Premier League encounter, here on Thursday.
The 51st match of the cash-rich league between Mumbai and Hyderabad is being played at the Wankhede Stadium. Martin Guptill has been included in place of David Warner and Basil Thampi is replacing Sandeep Sharma.
While Mumbai are sitting at the third spot in the IPL table with 14 points from 12 games. On the other hand, Hyderabad is placed at the fourth spot with 12 points from 12 matches.
At the toss, Rohit Sharma said, "We will bat first. It is a fresh pitch and looks it will play well. We are aware about the dew factor. But we have bowled well in those situation. We want to keep things as simple as possible. And see where we go. We are going with the same team."
SRH skipper Kane Williamson said, "This pitch will remain fresh for the entire match. We want to be aggressive with the new ball. Guptill comes in for David. And Basil Thampi comes in place of Sandeep Sharma. So, two changes for us. Last game was a strong performance for us. It is important that we try to build on that."
