CRICKET WORLD CUP: NZ VS BAN | New Zealand thump Bangladesh by eight wickets

New Zealand pacers wreaked havoc at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Friday as they restricted Bangladesh to 245/9 sharing seven wickets among them. Further, Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell's fifties helped New Zealand chase the target without breaking a sweat.

Chennai: New Zealand defeated Bangladesh by eight wickets here on Friday as their pace bowlers worked in tandem to restrict Bangladesh to a low total. Lockie Ferguson picked three wickets while Trent Boult and Matt Henry scalped a couple of wickets each. Kane Williamson was as elegant as he was before the comeback from injury and the New Zealand skipper announced his return with a half-century while Daryl Mitchell stayed at the crease till the end and sealed off the game with a knock of unbeaten 89 runs.
