London: The most anticipated match of the ongoing Cricket World Cup will be played on June 16 in Manchester's Old Taftard -- between arch-rivals India and Pakistan.
If we talk about India and Pakistan's rivalry in the fifty overs showpiece event, then Men-in-Blue will have the psychological advantage as they have won all World Cup match against the green shirts.
However, writing off Pakistan would be unfair, as they have the habit of surprising people with their Brillance from time to time and their win against Virat Kohli and Co in the Champions Trophy final in the biggest example of their unpredictability.
Despite the unpredictability of the neighbouring nation, if we take a look back at Pakistan and India's performance since 2018, then the later is more consistent.
Sarfraz Ahmed -led outfit had played 33 matches in last one and a half year, in which they lost 21 games, won 10 while two matches ended with no result. It is also noteworthy that out of ten games, Pakistan won five matches against Zimbabwe and one against Afghanistan.
On the other hand, India won 22 matches out of 33 games that they played since 2018, with two matches ending in a tie.
In the current World Cup, while India are unbeaten and placed at number four with five points from three matches. Pakistan are sitting at number seven with two loss, one win and one washout.
It will be interesting to see if India can maintain their unbeaten record against Pakistan or will Sarfraz Ahmed and co will break the jinx this time?
