Rana joins KKR's training session after testing negative for COVID-19

Rana had to serve an extended period of quarantine after testing positive on March 22. His COVID-19 test results came just a day after his arrival in Mumbai.

Mumbai: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batsman Nitish Rana trained with his teammates on Friday after testing negative for the Coronavirus.

Rana had to serve an extended period of quarantine after testing positive on March 22. His COVID-19 test results came just a day after his arrival in Mumbai.

As per the guidelines of the BCCI, Rana had to be quarantined until returning with negative results on the 11th and 12th days.

KKR, on its social media handle, posted his video where he said, "Finally I am out now and I'm feeling absolutely fine. It was day one of my practice and I batted a bit as well. I'm happy to join my KKR team-mates today."

"Please take precautions and don't take this thing lightly. You never know what will happen next, so please take care of yourself and your family. Stay safe," Rana said.

In the last IPL season, Rana scored 352 runs in 14 matches. He was the highest run-getter for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy One-dayers, amassing 398 runs in seven matches at an average of 66.33.

However, his representation for KKR's season-opener against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chennai on April 11 is still sketchy.
