The giant of a man can hit big sixes at will and get some sharp bounce and turn with his off-spin, has been among the most consistent cricketers in the domestic circuit for quite a sometime now. In the previous West Indies Championships 2018-19, Cornwall picked up a total of 54 wickets at an excellent average of 17.68 runs.

Despite being a hugely talented individual, Rahkeem's physique had delayed his call-up to the senior national team. In 2017, former West Indies chairman of selectors Courtney Browne had said West Indies have taken initiative and have set up a programme to get the big-hitter in suitable shape for international cricket.

Cornwall was part of West Indies A squad for the one-dayers and Tests against India A in the recently-concluded series. Rahkeem picked up 4 wickets in 2 matches and hit two half-centuries as well against India A last month.
